Hey everyone. I’m not sure whether I’m sad that winter is coming to an end and that I have no clothes suitable for the weather or if I’m happy to finally be able to leave the house without 1694 layers on (and of course and excuse to buy new clothes).
I love winter, however the cold weather and harsh wind isnt always great for your skin and my skin is no exception. Over the last few months my nose and forehead have been so dry they have started to peel and my skin just felt rotten, not to mention my scaly lips (not sexy in the slightest). I have combination skin so I’m always fluctuating between having dry and oily patches, remember even if you have oily skin don’t skip out on moisturising- trust me. I’ve found a few products that I found helped my winter skin get through the bitterly cold days of winter.
So I’ll start with the cheapest of the lot:
We’re constantly using our hands, so its always good to have some sort of hand cream on you at all times to save them from whatever you’re doing. In the winter months its even more important to make sure you’ve got a good moisturising cream. I love this one from Dove. Its super silky and goes on your hands so nicely. A life saver.
This range has been out a while now and I think I’ve mentioned a few products from this range a few times now. Radiant glowing skin becomes really popular in the summer months but I’ve found them to help the most in winter. They provide that extra bit of nourishment to my dry skin and help it look that little bit healthier. I used this in the mornings to brighten my face for the day and its helped my skin loads!
To compliment the cleanser I use the serum in the evenings before I go to bed and occasionally before my makeup if my skins feeling a little more dry. This goes on super smooth and I really feel it sink in to my skin and nourish it. For the price? Definitely a must.
Olay Essentials Beauty Fluid– £7.69
I’ve never really tried many Olay products before. But I wanted an everyday moisturiser for the morning. I use the beauty fluid for dry skin although there is one for sensitive skin too! Its lovely moisturiser that goes onto the skin beautifully and helps my dry skin look a hell of a lot smoother. For particularly dry days I use my superdrug serum but for most days this is wonderful on my skin.
EOS Lipbalm– £5.99
These EOS balms have been out a while now and gained a but of a hype. I saw them in Topshop and it was a last minute at-the-till kind of purchase. I have not regretted it once. OH MY. This lip balm is amazing! If the smell alone doesn’t make you fall in love with it, the way it makes your lips feel will! It is by far my favorite lip balm of all time and has helped my lips so much during winter!
Yes I know. Its a bit of a mouthful to say. But its the nicest face cream I have. Now I’ve tried my fair share of moisturisers and tried the majority of my mums moisturisers too (not exactly student budget products) and I can say this is one of my favorites. In the winter my skin gets very red as well as dry (sad face) but this cream reduces the redness while moisturising my whole face making those dry patches less so. Its defiantly a luxury product but a little goes a long way and its a all year round kind of product.
Hope you found this helpful! Just some products I really found useful during winter when my skin is most worn out!
Lots of love
