Makeup Medley ⎜Autumn trends

Here we are again, another makeup medley. We are well and truly in autumn now so of course this means new colours and defiantly new makeup.

This ones a little different to the last one, well a lot different but its a fairly simple one. You could tone it this down with a slightly lighter lip but because I’ve kept it simple on the eyes this is something anyone can pull of- you’ve just got to be confident enough to wear it. I’ve got to be honest here, I’m not usually one for sporting a dark lip. There’s something gothic about purple that people can’t seem to forget but its on trend this season and it doesn’t fail to disappoint. Start small and blend a dark colour out if you’re feeling shy, then build yourself up. Grab your makeup brushes and your eyeshadows and lets get started.

First I started out with my base makeup, I wanted my face makeup to look really natural, dewy and heathly.  I started with a the Urban Decay Brightening & Tightening primer potion, followed by my No7 Instant Radiance Foundation. This combo gives my skin a subtle glow, another trend this autumn. To my cheeks I used my MAC Blush in Springsheen, as well as being my favourite blush it gives my face a really fresh look. Now to the eyes..

I took my Costal Scents 88 Pallet and took one of the neutral colours that is slightly lighter than my natural colour (obviously this will change from person to person, but just keep it close to your skin colour) and applied this all over the lid. Then I took a MAC Eyeshadow in Goldmine and applied this lightly over the the nude I just put on my lid. Then I took a deep brown from the 88 Pallet and put that in my crease. I kept it super natural on the lid just because of the lips, but the gold brings out the eye a little. Then I took a big eyeshadow brush and blended out the brown until I had a really soft line. Then I applied my highlighter on my brow bone and in the inner corner of my eye. To keep the eyes still looking quite soft I used a pencil eyeliner to line my top lid, today I used the Mac Eye Pencil in Ebony. Then I popped on some false lashed and that was it for the eyes! Side note- try some individual lashes for a softer lash effect or just keep it natural with some mascara. (How to apply lashes)

To start the lips I took the Sally Hanson Invisible Lip Liner, this is great for someone that doesn’t wear many coloured lippys and but needa good liner. This’ll stop feathering like any other but you don’t have to worry about matching it to your lipsticks! Then I took Maybellines Colour Show Stick in the shade 310 Berry much. This is a chunky pencil so be careful when using this but I applied that all over the lips. To fix any mistakes I made I look a flat concealer brush with a dap of my foundation and popped this round the outside of my lips to neaten everything up. Lastly I applied some of the Barry M Loud Mouth Lip colour in shade 1, all over my lips. This is an amazing match for the OCD Lip Tars, but be careful not to applied too much as it can get in your teeth. Lightly apply it and you’ll be fine. And thats it, we’re done! A super simple look with a splash of colour to add something different to your usual routine. Have fun with this one girls and I hope you liked it!

Thankyou for reading. Changing a little with the uploads on here so I thought I’d let you know, as I’ve moved back to uni I’m only going to upload once a week on a sunday at 8pm. Once I’m settled I may be able to upload more than once a week but for now expect to see a brand new post every sunday!

Lots of Love
