Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation Review

Flawless looking skin without looking like you’ve caked your face while a 1-inch thick layer on foundation? Keep reading my friends!

To give you a bit of a background, my skin can be temperamental at the best of times. I thought I landed on my favourite foundation years ago when I came across Estee Lauder Double Wear, however I soon realised there was a reason it stayed so well on my face, because it was essentially face paint that was so thick that when I thought I has removed it at the end of the day, its still stuck to my face with determination. Anyway, it didn’t help my problems with my skin and even made it worse because I was wearing it everyday, not letting my skin breath. After a year or so of experimenting with other foundations, I finally feel I’ve found the perfect one – Naked Skin Weightless Foundation by Urban Decay. It’s hard to find a foundation fit for oily skin!

This foundation gives a semi-matte finish, perfect for if you want that glow but want something a bit longer wearing. I have oily skin so I wasn’t sure how this could stay on my skin, but unlike other foundations I’ve tried, it doesn’t melt of my face after a couple hours, it stays put! Getting the right balance between a glowing dewy look and a face covered in grease is tough, but this foundation gets that balance right looking natural and flawless.

This foundation claims to use light-diffusing spheres to help blur imperfections perfectly complementing your complexion and I must say I agree. Although some of my blemishes still shine through, I can build this foundation to the coverage I need that day. I’ve been trying to leave most of my minor imperfections make my skin look more real because I on a day-to-day basis I don’t agree with hiding EVERYTHING because its just not natural. But with this foundation you have the choice.

I’ve been using this foundation during the winter months which is probably why my oily skin hasn’t been so much of an issue. Adding in a matte primer and setting spray in the summer will probably help for those long summer days where you can’t help but get a sweat on sitting at your desk. I think that the super light texture of this foundation will be a blessing for hot days when you don’t want to put anything on your face.

All in all, at £27, this is an amazing foundation for a reasonable price. It’s also good to know that Urban Decay is against animal testing and the brand is suitable for vegans!
